Perth Mint bullion sales in August declined for silver products. On the other hand, they reached a four-month high for gold products. The Mint’s sales of gold coins and gold bars reached 67,462 ounces last month–a 20.2% increase from July and 209.9% from August 2019.
On the year, gold sales so far have reached 516,829 ounces for a 192% increase over the 176,984 ounces sold last year. Sales of silver coins and bars at the Mint reached 1,431,036 ounces in August, a 8.7% decrease from July and a 22.2% increase over August 2019.
So far in 2020, silver sales equate to 11,485,331 ounces–78.4% higher than the 6,439,531 sold during the same period in 2019.
